Dr. Himani Goyal, M.D is a fellowship trained cornea and refractive surgery specialist.
After completing a combined BS/MD program with The College of New Jersey and New Jersey Medical School, she joined the State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center for her ophthalmology residency. The Downstate residency program provides its residents with an unparalleled number of ophthalmic trauma cases and has one of the most diverse patient populations in the nation. Dr. Goyal has treated patients at Kings County Hospital, Brookdale Medical Center, Coney Island Hospital, Long Island College Hospital, and Staten Island University Hospitals. During residency she completed hundreds of surgeries including cataract, cornea, glaucoma, and ocular trauma procedures and was considered to be one of the top surgeons of her class.She then pursued a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery in affiliation with New York University Medical Center, which served to refine her skills in performing corneal transplants, LASIK, and PRK.
She currently maintains her attending privileges at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital; New York Eye & Ear Infirmary; Wyckoff Hospital; and Mid-Manhattan Surgery Center. She is fluent in Spanish and Punjabi and enjoys living healthy with her husband in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn.
