VISION CORRECTION PROCEDURES PERFORMED


Dr. Karen PerekalskyDr. Karen Perekalsky is a licensed optometrist consulting for NY Eye Group who provides full scope vision and eye health care with subspecialty interests in corneal disease and in complex contact lens fittings. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Russian literature from Brandeis University in 1999 and her Doctorate of Optometry degree from SUNY State College of Optometry in 2006. Following SUNY, Dr. Perekalsky completed a one year research fellowship in cornea disease and contact lens management in NewYork City.

In addition to providing general eye care, Dr. Perekalsky provides pre- andpost- operative LASIK/PRK care and specializes in complicated contact lens fittings for patients with Keratoconus, irregular corneas, corneal transplants, degenerative and high myopia as well as astigmatism and spherical refractive errors.

Dr. Perekalsky became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2009 and is on the board of the SUNY College of Optometry Alumni Association. Additionally, she is a member of the NY Academy of Optometry and American Optometric Association.   Dr. Perekalsky was born in Israel, grew up in Brooklyn, and currently resides in NYC.
