Dr. Karen Perekalsky is a licensed optometrist who provides full scope vision and eye health care with subspecialty interests in corneal disease and in complex contact lens fittings. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brandeis University in 1999 and her Doctorate of Optometry degree from SUNY State College of Optometry in 2006. Following SUNY, Dr. Perekalsky completed a one year research fellowship in cornea disease and contact lens management in New York City.
In addition to providing general eye care, Dr. Perekalsky provides pre- and post- operative LASIK/PRK care and specializes in complicated contact lens fittings for patients with Keratoconus, irregular corneas, corneal transplants, degenerative and high myopia as well as astigmatism and spherical refractive errors. Additionally, she is a member of the NY Academy of Optometry, American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association and speaks Russian, Polish and Spanish. Dr. Perekalsky was born in Israel and grew up in Brooklyn, where she currently resides.
