Dr. Miriam Lee is a licensed optometrist who works as a consultant for the NY Vision Group to provide comprehensive eye exams. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University and received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the SUNY State College of Optometry in 2010. She completed residency training at the VA Northport Medical Center in primary care, low vision and vision rehabilitation, where she gained experience in treating and managing ocular disease as well as optimizing remaining sight with low vision devices once irreversible vision damage has occurred.
Dr. Lee has traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico for a mission trip in 2009 to provide eye care to remote villages. This experience opened her eyes to the importance of basic eye care and she hopes to continue missions work throughout her career.
