Dr. Alan Dayan is one of NY Vision Group’s consulting retinal specialists, dedicated to treating medical and surgical diseases of the retina, such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal tears and detachments, among other retinal disorders. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Dayan attended medical school at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his internship in surgery at St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan and performed his residency in ophthalmology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, the premier institute in New York City.
Dr. Dayan completed a retinal fellowship at the Vitreo-Retinal Foundation in Tennessee and is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Dayan has been in private practice since 1998 and currently lives in Manhattan with his wife and two daughters.
