Dr. Louis S. Angioletti, a consulting ophthalmologist for NY Vision Group, is board certified and specializes in Vitreoretinal Surgery and, in particular, macular disease. He is an expert in the care of Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Intraocular Lens Complications as well as Macular Hole and Macular Pucker Surgery.
He is a Senior Attending Surgeon at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology of the Carl Icahn Scholl of Medicine of Mount Sinai.
Dr. Angioletti has authored a textbook chapter of Vitreoretinal Surgery and has contributed to professional journal articles on the subject of surgical retina procedures. During his tenure as an associate clinical professor, Dr. Angioletti has presented a paper as well as myriad posters at the annual ARVO (The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology) Meetings on the topical of retinal imaging. Dr. Angioletti has assisted in the training of Ophthalmology Residents and Retina Fellows at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary since 1992. He has served as Retina Liaison to the Operating Room Committee since 2007 and on the Medical Board since 2015. He was elected Chairman of the Medical Board in May of 2015 and has served the institution faithfully up until the creation of this page.
